MINUTES OF TU MEETING of the November 14,2002 Reactivation Meeting.

"A reactivation meeting of the Overmountain Chapter of Trout Unlimited was held at 7 p.m. on November 14th at the
Appalachian RC&D office (USDA) in Johnson City. The primary focus of the meeting was to review the mission and role of Trout Unlimited in Northeast Tennessee and to reestablish Chapter Leadership. Following extensive discussion of the chapter bylaws, and duties of officers and committee chairpersons, a list of members willing to serve in the key officer and committee chairpersons positions was developed. It was agreed to schedule another meeting of the chapter on Thursday, January 9,2003 at the Firehouse Restaurant in Johnson City. The purpose of this meeting will be to present a proposed slate of officers and directors, obtain any nominations from the floor and elect officers for 2003."

Proposed slate of officers recommended by the 11 members present are:

President - Ken Chase
Vice-President - Bob Viers
Secretary - Charles Gibson
Treasurer - Don Kreh

Committee Chairs:

Membership - Don Kreh
Program - Bob Sherrill
Resources - Bill Beazell
Education - Gary Barrigar
Communications: Open

Open committee chairs and replacement Board members will be discussed at the January meeting.

If you have any nominations for the officers, committee chairs and board members, please email them to me and we'll add them to the nomination package.

As you may recall, we met at the Firehouse Restaurant for several years and it was recommended by those present to have our next meeting there. There will not be a meeting in December.
